No flood of water, no gust of air,
Could make her world any easier to bear.
This journey not from a beginning, nor at an ending,
A cycle to live, to love, to die and then repeat.
But when the flames spread and the earth doth shake, her soul would awake.
The path I’m on started in a place I never thought I’d be; a psych ward with no memories of why and no powers to escape.
I’ve not regained my freedom, but my magic is back and with it a new purpose in life. To protect those I love from a monster far worse than any nightmare.
My life has been taken, my freewill sacrificed, my future doesn’t exist and I’ve been forbidden to love a man I never thought I’d find. All in order to save my soul from an evil that still hounds me.
I have read a lot of books about mystical creatures before but nothing compares to this one. It takes you hostage from the beginning to the ending of the book and there is little to nothing you can do to keep safe.
In a world where nothing you known its real and danger lurks in every corner Harry Garcia must join forces with the most unlikely person, some one she though she would never seen again in order to defeat Brendan, her abusive boyfriend of six year who is now trying to kill her. One night while packing some of her clothes Brendan was furious and try to kill her, Last thing she remembers before everything went dark was his evil smirk and his hands around her fragile, small neck. Days later she wakes in a strange clinic with no memory how she got there. But danger is lurking all over the corners again searching for her, so she must remember her life in order to defeat him once and for all.
I give this a 5 stars and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Q & A with Author H.L. Morley
Soul Awaken by H.L. Morley
Hello H. L. Morley, and welcome to my blog. We are here today to talk about your book Soul Awaken. First let me start by telling you how much I love this book. It’s so different from every other mythical creature book anyone have ever seen. But I need to know more about it. So, let’s begin shall we;
*What was your inspiration for this book? And how long did it take you to write it?
This came from a dream believe it or not. I often have very vivid dreams and I try to write them down; it means I have loads of material for books. To actually write the first draft took about three months, but then I had a baby and the book got shelved. It wasn’t until a year later that I started the whole editing process. Which probably took about another four month.
*Did you do any type of research for it?
Yes. I feel it’s important to be realistic, even in fantasy. I drew on a lot of personal experiences and knowledge, but when I didn’t know something I turned to google or family and friends for help.
*Do you write every day? If so, how many hours do you spend writing.
Yes. I have a minimum word count of 500 words a day, even if I’m not in the mood to write I will make myself do the minimum. More times than not I get over 2000 words done. I usually write in the evening when the little one is in bed; I’m more creative at night I think.
*I was loving the characters names; how did you pick them?
Well, I started writing when I was pregnant so I’d already been searching for baby names. And I still have a massive list of names I like for future books.
*Tell me something that you edited from your book now wish you would have kept.
There was a lot more back story, which I had to scrap because it would have been just too long of a start to the story. I have since taken a lot of that material and I’ve written a novelette (Soul Solstice), which predates this book. I did so mainly because I wanted the readers to understand the place Harriet was coming from before she gets to Wilton.
*What’s your most loved and most hated character and why?
They are all fun characters to write, so it’s hard to pick just one that I love. I especially loved writing the different relationships that Harriet finds; friendships, an instant attraction and a potential friends to lovers situation.
The most hated character was Matterson for me, mainly because I think we can all relate to having a shit for a boss at some point.
*Which character was the most difficult for you to write?
Fiona. This was because I was finding it hard to balance how Harriet saw her in the beginning, to who she really was. But the more Harriet came to know her, the easier it got.
*Are you a self-publish author or are you going through a publisher?
I’m self published and I knew from very early on that I wanted to be. I had and have a vision for the series, and being a new author I was weary that a publisher might make suggestions which would go against that.
*Tell me how hard it was to get your book published.
Overall it’s not difficult, but it can be time consuming and overwhelming. As soon as I decided I wanted to be self-published I knew I had to do it properly, so the book has been professionally edited.
*There is an old say “Don’t judge a book by its cover” but your cover is beautiful. What made you choose that specific one?
Thank you. I actually designed the cover myself, though I have experience in photoshop so that helps.
* What other things besides writing do you like to do?
Read and read some more. I also like to draw, go to yoga and spend time with my family and friends.
*So, tell me what else can we expect from you? Is there a sequel on the works? I hope there is. 😊
Harriet’s story will be a trilogy, but there are also more books planned for the whole series; The Atman Journeys.
*It was so nice to have you in the blog and be able to get to know you a little better. I hope I get to talk to you again 😊
Of course anytime, and I’m so thrilled you enjoyed Soul Awaken.
About The Author
Morley is an English, independent, paranormal romance author.
She first became obsessed with books as a child when J.K Rowling published the fantastic ‘Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone’. The world which Rowling had created immersed Heather in literature. However, being dyslexic meant she struggled with both reading and writing. The very idea of ever becoming an author seemed beyond her.
Still, she continued to be an avid reader and with a lot of hard work went on to study Drama, English and Psychology at Roehampton University London. Where she obtained a 2:1 BA Degree in 2012.
It wasn’t until 2016 where a dream and a strong determination to prove herself, sparked Heather to start writing.
She has now finished her first Novel in a three part series (The Atman Journeys).
