“I feel it, I feel my thin morals dissolving. I feel my flimsy, moth-eaten skin of humanity begin to come apart, and with it, the veil keeping me from complete darkness. There are no lines I won’t cross. No illusions of mercy.
I wanted to be better for her. For her happiness. For her future.
But if she‘s gone, what good is goodness?

Juliette and Warner’s story continues in the thrilling fifth installment of Tahereh Mafi’s New York Times bestselling Shatter Me series.
Juliette Ferrars isn’t who she thinks she is.
Nothing in her world is what it seemed. She thought she’d finally defeated the Reestablishment. She thought she’d finally taken control of her life, her power, and her pain. But Juliette has only just begun to unravel a lifetime of lies, and she finds herself faced with a familiar choice:
Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.
This time, she’s not alone. Stronger, braver, and more resilient than ever, Juliette will fight for life and love with her friends by her side—but first, she has to survive the war being waged against her mind:
She has to remember who she was.
Narrated by Juliette, Warner, and Kenji Kishimoto, this gripping novel perfectly sets the stage for the highly anticipated forthcoming conclusion to the Shatter Me series.
This book was better than I had expected to be. Juliette and Warner had been captured by The Reestablishment, and kept held against their will while getting tortured. Warner, the traitor. He left Juliette kill his own father and there for could possibly be executed for treason. And Juliette, the weapon, they need it her alive. They had so much plans for her. She Would help the Reestablishment take over once and for all.
Back home Omega point had been able to escape before all hell broke lose. They were forming a strategy to escape before section 45 solder turn against them. With out Juliette or Warner to lead them it was just a matter of fact before chaos erupted. But they weren’t expecting to see the person walking trough the door, they weren’t expecting to be betrayed by some one they trusted. Now they also were imprisoned and must fight to survive. Kenji’s mission was to escape and save Juliette, his bestfriend.
There were so many twist and turns into this story. One of them, I wasn’t expecting at all. It took me less than 24 hours to finish this book. That’s how good it was, I couldn’t put it down! But that ending…that ending upset me, we have yet another cliffhanger. I feel like Tahereh Mafi loves to make us suffer. LOL. Now we have to wait another year for the next book but I’m sure it would be worth the wait. I will be here patiently waiting for it, I need to know what happened next!
5 out of 5 stars!
“If you want nice Kenji maybe you should check back in the morning, because right now all I’ve got is jack shit in the way of pleasantries.
